Has the young generattion lost love for typewriters ? Typewrites used to be the mainsaty for any office or commercial set up. Today we can only find typewriters in museums or typing schools with majority of the offices and commercial set ups turning towards computers.
Typerwrites could be heard from a distance while once was typing on it and there was quite a demand for typists who could work fast enough with accuracy. People used to hold typists in high esteem as they were considered the backbone of any establishment that relied more on paperwork.
The ribbons, carbon and paper would come in different styles and brands. Olympia, Corona, Royal Touch etc were some of the favorite brands among people. Typewrites came in different sizes some were bulky and sturdy which were used at a fixed place. Some of them were samll enough with a case easy to carry and portable to any place. Such typewriters were a favorite wit people who preferrred to tour a lot and had to do the paperwork on th etours they would undertake.
The Typewriter has come quite a long way when it was first came into existance in 1714. Many shapes and forms have been changed by the typewriter since then. Today either typewrites are employed to relive the time that was lost in the past or to have fun for a change and leave the computer with its CPU, buses and monitor.
Although typewriters maybe lost with time but teh art of typing especially touch typing is going to stay for a long time. Typing skills are still in demand. Moreover as majority of the jobs require typing skills thus Touch typing has gained momentum in the last century. Almost all individuals have been exposed to the computer keyboard and have used it for a specific purpose.
With technologivcla advances this is bound to happen many things have to go obsolete and become a part of history. Same has happened with the typewriter maybe the future gerenations will be able to have a look at the typewriter only in a museum and wonder how ancient people could type on such sturdy machines pushing the machine each time a line ended.

The Love for Touch Typing

Touch Typing and the Path ahead
In the English Speaking world the layout of the keyboard is almost same that is the QWERTY layout. Thus you don’t have to worry while learning touch typing about the layout of the keyboard the only focus you have to have is the speed and the mistakes that you will be committing while typing.
The majority of the people will tell you to just develop your speed. But Touch Typing is not only about speed it is about the accuracy with which you can type the alphabets. You have to aim for a zero mistake goal then only the real purpose of learning touch typing will be solved.
