The Typewriter has come quite a long way when it was first came into existance in 1714. Many shapes and forms have been changed by the typewriter since then. Today either typewrites are employed to relive the time that was lost in the past or to have fun for a change and leave the computer with its CPU, buses and monitor.
Although typewriters maybe lost with time but teh art of typing especially touch typing is going to stay for a long time. Typing skills are still in demand. The Love for Touch Typing
Will the fun of Touch Typing be lost with the advances in technology? That’s a question with people who have loved typing and have honed this skill over the years. There was a time when people took special classes and attended to their typing training needs very carefully. With the advent of technology many programs and software’s have come up that will recognize your voice and convert it into letters. There was a time when people used to write long letters and send them long distance. Then came the era of typed letters and emails. Now most of the communication is done via the digital media or through phones and other media of communication. Typing still remains a backbone for all communication.
Whether you are typing a presentation letter or memo or an article to be published typing skills always come handy and will be there for the future times. Bulky typewriters were an asset for large organizations which were later replaced by computers and maybe in future the computers maybe replaced by a gadget which understands spoken words precisely and converts them into letters and words on a document thus sparing you the pain to type large amounts of data.
Having all these gadgets at our disposal we still love typing as it adds a personal touch to the document that you have typed. One can easily connect with the flow of words and if checking the document that has been typed by you some days later it gives you a sense of satisfaction and will surely boost your confidence. A self typed document will surely be something that you can nurture for the whole of life as thoughts may fade but a imprints on the document will never be faded except destroyed.
Typing is a skill like driving and swimming once you have learnt it and then after a long time you come back and put your fingers on the keyboard you are once again on the track and typing with light fingers all the way on the keyboard. Typists especially fast typing typists are the backbone of any organization.
